Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Arrival & Evening Safari
Depart Kampala early morning with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (optional but recommended) for walking rhino tracking — your only chance to see wild white rhinos in Uganda. Continue through the scenic Budongo Forest to Murchison Falls National Park. Check into your lodge, then enjoy a sunset game drive on the Buligi Peninsula. Spot giraffes, elephants, hartebeests, and lions silhouetted against the setting sun.

Day 2: The Nile Boat Safari & Top of the Falls
Morning: Board a 2-3 hour boat safari upstream from the Paraa jetty to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, see:

• Hippos yawning and splashing
• Crocodiles basking on sandbanks
• Elephants and buffaloes drinking at the water’s edge
• Rare shoebill storks and hundreds of colorful kingfishers, bee-eaters, and eagles

Disembark and hike to the Top of the Falls — a steep but short climb where you’ll stand inches from the raging Nile as it explodes through the rocky gap. Feel the spray, hear the roar, and witness one of Africa’s most breathtaking spectacles.

Afternoon: Game drive in the Delta area (where Victoria Nile meets Lake Albert) for leopards, lions, and Uganda kobs.

Day 3: Morning Safari & Departure
Early morning game drive in the Nile-Albert Delta or the Buligi track (best for predators). Return for breakfast, then depart for Kampala with a stop at the Top of the Falls viewpoint again (different angle) or the Budongo Forest for chimpanzee trekking (extra fee). Arrive Kampala late afternoon.
